S.I. No. 160/1975 - European Communities (Statistical Surveys) Regulations 1975.


I, LIAM MAC COSGAIR, Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Statistical Surveys) Regulations, 1975.

2. A person who contravenes Article 5 or 6 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3192/73,1 Article 4 or 5 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 178/74,2 Article 8 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2640/743 or Article 6 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1103/75,4 shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on summary conviction, to a penalty not exceeding £500 or, at the discretion of the Court, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both the fine and imprisonment.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations supplement EEC Regulations on various community statistical surveys in 1975 by prescribing penalties.
