IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (DUMPING AND SUBSIDIES) (No. 10) (ANTI-DUMPING DUTY ON BLOUSES) ORDER, 1975.

WHEREAS, as a result of an investigation by An Coimisiún Dumpála under section 7 of the Imposition of Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) Act, 1968 (No. 11 of 1968), in relation to goods of the kind specified in Article 3 of the Order following, that Commission recommended to the Minister for Industry and Commerce that an anti-dumping duty at the rate of 40 per cent ad valorem be imposed on goods of the kind aforesaid :

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Industry and Commerce is satisfied that there has been injurious dumping of goods of the kind aforesaid and that the dumping has caused material injury to an industry in the State :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 14 of the said Imposition of Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) Act, 1968 , hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) (No. 10) (Anti-dumping Duty on Blouses) Order, 1975.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 18th day of July, 1975.

3. An anti-dumping duty at the rate of 40 per cent ad valorem shall be charged, levied and paid on blouses, blouse shirts, shirts and similar articles wholly or mainly of synthetic textile fibres that are—

( a ) wholly or substantially produced in the Republic of Korea (South Korea),

( b ) classified at tariff Code numbers 6004-218, 6004-226, 6004-250, 6004-254, 6004-282, 6005-273, 6005-281, 6102-426, 6103-416, 6103-424, 6103-432, and 6104-317 in the Schedule to the Imposition of Duties (No. 200) (Customs and Excise Duties and Form of Tariff) Order, 1972 ( S.I. No. 220 of 1972 ), and

( c ) imported after the commencement of this Order.

4. The duty imposed by this Order is hereby placed under the care and management of the Revenue Commissioners.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for the charging of an anti-dumping duty at the rate of 40 per cent ad valorem on blouses and similar articles of clothing imported from the Republic of Korea (South Korea).
