WICKLOW COUNTY COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1974.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33 (7) of the Local Government Act, 1941 (No. 23 of 1941), hereby orders as follows:—

1. The number of members of the Council of the County of Wicklow to be elected for the county electoral area of Bray shall be altered from six to seven and the number of such members to be elected for the county electoral area of Baltinglass shall be altered from four to three and the third column of the Schedule to the Wicklow County Council Order, 1942 shall be amended accordingly.

2. This Order may be cited as the Wicklow County Council (Amendment) Order, 1974.

3. This Order and the Wicklow County Council Order, 1942, may be cited collectively as the Wicklow County Council Orders, 1942 and 1974.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to provide that in a local election for the Council of the County of Wicklow seven members shall be elected for the electoral area of Bray and three members shall be elected for the electoral area of Baltinglass.
