S.I. No. 262/1973 - An Bord Gráin (Assignment of Additional Function) Order, 1973.

I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 24 of 1958), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the An Bord Gráin (Assignment of Additional Function) Order, 1973.

2. There is hereby assigned to An Bord Gráin—

( a ) the function of repaying to each grower of wheat harvested in the year 1969 and purchased from the grower the amount of wheat levy in respect of the wheat remaining after deduction from the levy by An Bord Gráin of such amount as it considers appropriate in respect of its expenditure in the years 1969, 1970, 1972 and 1973, and

( b ) the function of repaying to each grower of wheat harvested in the year 1971 and purchased from the grower the amount of wheat levy in respect of the wheat remaining after deduction from the levy by An Bord Gráin of such amount as it considers appropriate in respect of its expenditure in the years 1970 to 1973.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order provides for repayment by An Bord Gráin of residual levy paid on wheat of the 1969 and 1971 crops.
