JURY (PANELS FOR TRIAL OF CRIMINAL ISSUES) (COUNTY LOUTH) ORDER, 1973.

I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Juries Act, 1961 (No. 11 of 1961), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Jury (Panels for Trial of Criminal Issues) (County Louth) Order, 1973.

2. Every criminal issue which is triable with a jury by a Judge of the Circuit Court sitting in the county of Louth shall be triable with a jury called from a panel of jurors drawn from—

(a) in case such judge is sitting in the town of Dundalk, Jury District No. 1 (Dundalk),

(b) in case such judge is sitting in the town of Drogheda, Jury District No. 2 (Drogheda).

3. Article 3 of the Jury (Panels for Trial of Criminal Issues) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 84 of 1970 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order specifies each of the Jury Districts of County Louth from which jurors are liable to be called for service at criminal trials at Courts sitting in Dundalk and Drogheda, respectively.
