CUSTOMS-FREE AIRPORT (EXTENSION OF LAWS) REGULATIONS, 1970.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13 of the Customs-free Airport Act, 1947 (No. 5 of 1947) (as amended by section 11 of the Customs-free Airport (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 29 of 1958)) and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs-free Airport (Extension of Laws) Regulations, 1970.

2. The Statistics Acts, 1926 and 1946, in so far as they relate to importation and exportation of goods shall extend to the Customs-free Airport.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to extend to the Customs-free Airport at Shannon the Statistics Acts, 1926 and 1946 insofar as they relate to importation and exportation of goods.
