HARBOUR RATES (CLARE CASTLE PIER) ORDER, 1970.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Harbours (Regulation of Rates) Act, 1934 (No. 2 of 1934), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Clare Castle Pier) Order, 1970.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 23rd day of January, 1970.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The rates set out in the Schedule to this Order are hereby fixed as the rates to be charged by the Clare Castle Harbour Trustees for quayage and wharfage in respect of Clare Castle Pier.

4. Every statutory or other provision fixing, restricting or otherwise regulating the rates or the maximum or minimum rates chargeable by the Clare Castle Harbour Trustees on subjects of charges set out in the Schedule to this Order, or the basis on which or method by which such rates are computed, is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the Clare Castle Harbour Trustees to charge revised quayage and wharfage rates at Clare Castle Pier.
