DISTRICT COURT DISTRICTS (DUBLIN) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1970.

I, DESMOND O'MALLEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts (Dublin) (Amendment) Order, 1970.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1971.

3. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court Districts (Dublin) Order, 1945 (S.R. & O., No. 279 of 1945).

4. The Dublin Metropolitan District is hereby varied by the addition thereto of the following areas—

(a) The Coolock Ward,

(b) that portion of the Artane Ward which was outside the Dublin Metropolitan District on the 31st day of December, 1970, and

(c) that portion of the Swords Road contained in the Santry Ward,

and the Principal Order shall be construed accordingly.

5. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had not been made.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order together with the District Court Areas (Amendment) (No. 2) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 301 of 1970 ), is to transfer certain areas now contained in the District Court Areas of Howth and Kilmainham to the Dublin Metropolitan District.
