PUBLIC HEALTH (IRELAND) ACT, 1878 (SECTION 52) (COUNTY HEALTH DISTRICT OF DUBLIN) ORDER, 1967

The Minister for Local Government, on the application of the Council of the County of Dublin, in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 1 of the Public Health (Ireland) Act, 1896, hereby declares and orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Ireland) Act, 1878 (Section 52) (County Health District of Dublin) Order, 1967.

2. The provisions of section 52 of the Public Health (Ireland) Act, 1878 as to the cleansing of streets shall be in force in the County Health District of Dublin as and from 1st day of May, 1967, and the Council of the County of Dublin is hereby invested with all the powers, rights, duties, capacities, liabilities and obligations of the urban district council under the provisions of the said section 52 of the Public Health (Ireland) Act, 1878 as to the cleansing of streets, to be exercised and to attach with the said County Health District.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of this Order is to give to Dublin County Council the powers of an urban sanitary authority under section 52 of the Public Health (Ireland) Act, 1878 as to the cleansing of streets in the County Health District of Dublin.
