IMPORTATION OF MILK AND CREAM (PROHIBITION) ORDER, 1967.

I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 30 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Importation of Milk and Cream (Prohibition) Order, 1967.

2. In this Order "milk" means full cream or skimmed milk, buttermilk, whey, kephir, yoghourt and similar fermented milk.

3. Subject to Article 4, the importation of milk or cream, whether or not it is preserved, concentrated, condensed, dried, powdered or sweetened, is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence granted in that behalf by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries.

4. This Order shall not apply in respect of milk or cream mentioned in Article 3 which is shown to the satisfaction of the Revenue Commissioners to have been produced in and to have been imported direct from Northern Ireland.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order prohibits, except under licence, the importation of milk or cream and certain processed milk or cream products.
