SALE OF DISEASED PLANTS (IRELAND) ORDER, 1922 (THIRD AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1966.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Destructive Insects and Pests (Consolidation) Act, 1958 (No. 11 of 1958), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), for the purpose of preventing the spreading in the State of the Stem and Bulb Eelworm (Ditylenchus dipsaci), hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Sale of Diseased Plants (Ireland) Order, 1922 (Third Amendment) Order, 1966.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 17th day of January, 1966.

2. The Sale of Diseased Plants (Ireland) Order, 1922, as amended, shall have effect subject to the addition to the Vegetable and Root Pests specified in the Schedule to the said Order of the following :

"Stem and Bulb Eelworm (Ditylenchus dipsaci)."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit the sale of any plant, plant material, fruit, seed, etc., which is infested with Stem and Bulb Eelworm.
