APPRENTICESHIP ACT (DESIGNATED TRADE) (DENTAL CRAFTSMAN) ORDER, 1965.

An Cheard-Chomhairle, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by subsection (1) of Section 21 of the Apprenticeship Act, 1959 (No. 39 of 1959), hereby orders as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Apprenticeship Act (Designated Trade) (Dental Craftsman) Order, 1965.

2. Dental Craftsman shall mean a person employed in the making and repair of any prosthetic denture, bridge-work or crown or any other dental appliance to be worn in the human mouth, on the authorisation of and for a registered dentist.

3. The trade of Dental Craftsman is hereby declared to be a designated trade for the purposes of the Apprenticeship Act, 1959 (No. 39 of 1959), throughout the State.

GIVEN under the Seal of An Cheard-Chomhairle, this 9th day of September, 1965.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to bring the arrangments for the recruitment and training of apprentices in the trade of Dental Craftsman under statutory control throughout the State.
