COUNTY GALWAY (REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1963.

I, PÁDRAIG Ó CINNÉIDE, an tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863 and section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the County Galway (Registrars' Districts) Order, 1963.

2. The division of County Galway into Registrars' Districts shall be varied as follows :—

(a) The Ardrahan Registrar's District shall be abolished.

(b) The Kinvara Registrar's District shall be varied by the addition thereto of the area heretofore forming part of Ardrahan Registrar's District and described in Part I of the Schedule hereto;

(c) The Gort Registrar's District shall be varied by the addition thereto of the area heretofore forming part of Ardrahan Registrar's District and described in Part II of the Schedule hereto.

3. This Order shall come into effect on the first day of June, nineteen hundred and sixty-three.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

Description of Area to be added to Kinvara Registrar's District.

(a) The townlands of Ardrahan South, Barratreana, Caherateige, Caherdaly, Castletaylor North, Castletaylor South, Cregmore, Cullenagh Beg, Cullenagh More, Owenbristy, Rooaunmore, Toberacreggaun, Tonroe, Carranavoodaun, Kiltiernan East, Kiltiernan West and Brackloon comprising the District Electoral Division of Castletaylor.

(b) The townlands of Ballygarriff, Ballynabucky, Ballynastaig, Castlegar, Dunkellin, Killeely Beg, Lavally, Parkroe (Killeely Parish), Rinn, Roevehagh, Toberbrackan, Ballynagran, Brockagh, Caheradine, Caherapheepa, Caherbulligin, Caherfurvaus, Carheenadiveane, Creggananta, Fahymactibbot, Killeeneen Beg, Killeeneen More, Laghtphilip, Parkroe (Killeeneen Parish), Scalp, Shanbally and Tallowroe comprising the District Electoral Division of Killeely.

(c) The townlands of Fawnarevagh, Gortroe, Liskevin, Lisnagranshy, Parkaloughan, Parkbaun, Sroove, Caheraloggy East, Caheraloggy West, Caherweelder, Carrigeen East, Carrigeen West, Carrowmaneen, Deerpark, Garraun, Lavallyconor, Pollnagarragh East, Pollnagarragh West, Rahasane and Rathmoyle comprising the District Electoral Division of Rahasane.

PART II

Description of Area to be added to Gort Registrar's District.

(a) The townlands of Ardrahan North, Ballybaun, Ballyboy, Ballyglass West, Ballylara, Caherduff, Caherkelly, Cregaclare Demesne, Furzypark, Lackan, Rooghaun and Shantallow comprising the District Electoral Division of Ardrahan.

(b) The townlands of Annagh, Ballycahalan, Ballyconnell, Ballyeighter, Cournageeha, Drumminalough, Inchaboy North, Knockroe, Laherdaun, Lisbrine, Lismoyle, Lurgabaun, Lurgan, Bunnaglass, Derrywee East, Derrywee West, Inchamore, Reyrawer, Clooneen, Doonally East, Doonally West, Gardenblake and Gardenblake Commons comprising the District Electoral Division of Ballycahalan.

(c) The townlands of Ballynahowna, Cappard Demesne, Drumminacoosaun, Farnaun, Hollymount, Keelderry and Knockoura comprising the District Electoral Division of Cappard.

(d) The townlands of Ballylahy, Bullaunagh (Kilthomas Parish), Lissadulta, Boleyneendorrish, Bullaunagh (Ardrahan Parish), Castledaly, Derryvokeel, Scalp, Gortadragaun, Gorteenaniska, Gortnanark, Kilcarrooraun, Lissadoill and Newtownblake comprising the District Electoral Division of Kilthomas.

(e) The townlands of Ballymaquiff North, Ballymariscal, Caheratrim, Kinmona North, Kinmona South, Rathanlon, Rathbaun, Reaskgarriff, Tullira, Ballinduff, Ballymaquiff South, Ballymarcahaun, Carrownamona, Cockstown East, Cockstown West, Coolfin, Shessy North, Shessy South, Skehanagh (Kiltartan Parish), Rahaly and Skehanagh (Kilthomas Parish) comprising the District Electoral Division of Skehanagh.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to abolish the Ardrahan Registrar's District and to divide the area heretofore comprising the Ardrahan Registrar's District between the Registrars' Districts of Gort and Kinvara so as to make the boundaries of the Registrars' Districts of Gort and Kinvara co-terminous with the boundaries of the Dispensary Districts of Gort and Kinvara as constituted by the County Galway (Dispensary Districts) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 61 of 1963 ).
