GREYHOUND RACE TRACK (SPECIAL EXEMPTION) REGULATIONS, 1963.

Bord na gCon, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 25 of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (No. 12 of 1958), and also by subsection (3) of Section 5 of the said Act, hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say :—

1. Greyhound race tracks on which only trials and/or schoolings are held, i.e. where no races are held for reward, shall be exempt from the operation of the Greyhound Race Track (Permits for Persons performing Specified Functions) Regulations, 1959 ( S.I. No. 10 of 1959 ), and also from the operation of the Greyhound Race Track (Racing) Regulations, 1960 ( S.I. No. 64 of 1960 ).

2. These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Special Exemption) Regulations, 1963.

3. These regulations shall come into operation on 1st June, 1963.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to exempt schooling tracks from certain Regulations applicable to other greyhound race tracks.
