FINES AND PENALTIES (DISPOSAL) ORDER, 1961.

I, OSCAR TRAYNOR, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 51 of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926), and with the concurrence of the Minister for Finance (signified by his official seal affixed hereto), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Fines and Penalties (Disposal) Order, 1961.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Every fine imposed in respect of an offence under section 11 of the Pilotage Act, 1913, which is prosecuted by any board or authority authorised in that behalf shall, in lieu of being paid into the Exchequer be paid to that authority or board.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order provides that Court fines for specified pilotage offences shall be paid to harbour authorities instead of the Exchequer.
