CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 45) (COTTON PIECE GOODS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1960.

The Government in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 45) (Cotton Piece Goods) (Amendment) Order, 1960.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of May, 1960.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

4. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 45) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 330 of 1949 ), is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph 5 of Part II of the Schedule thereto after " piece goods " of " (other than towelling) ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order removes an exemption in Quota Order No. 45 for towelling less than twelve inches in width.
