CREAMERY BUTTER (LEVY) REGULATIONS, 1960.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1935 (No. 21 of 1935), as amended by section 6 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) (Amendment) Act, 1941 (No. 9 of 1941), hereby make the following regulations:

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Creamery Butter (Levy) Regulations, 1960.

(2) The Creamery Butter (Levy) Regulations, 1958 and 1959 are hereby revoked as on and from the 13th day of April, 1960.

(3) The rate of levy on creamery butter which has been manufactured on or before the 30th day of June, 1959, and which is sold on or after the 13th day of April, 1960, shall be 54s. 8d. per cwt.

(4) The rate of levy on creamery butter which has been manufactured after the 30th day of June, 1959, and before the 13th day of April, 1960, and which is sold on or after the 13th day of April, 1960, shall be 37s. 8d. per cwt.

(5) The rate of levy on creamery butter manufactured on or after the 13th day of April, 1960, shall be 9s. 8d. per cwt.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Under these Regulations the following levies are imposed on sales by creameries on and after 13th April, 1960, of butter of their own manufacture:—

(a) Butter produced on or before 30th June, 1959—54s. 8d. per cwt.

(b) Butter produced after 30th June, 1959, and before 13th April, 1960—37s. 8d. per cwt.

(c) Butter produced on or after 13th April, 1960—9s. 8d. per cwt.
