HARBOUR RATES (GALWAY HARBOUR) ORDER, 1947 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1960.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with Section 106 of the said Act hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Galway Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1960.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 2nd day of January, 1961.

2. The Harbour Rates (Galway Harbour) Order, 1947 (S. R. & O., No. 162 of 1947), as amended by the Harbour Rates (Galway Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 183 of 1957 ), shall have effect as if—

(a) the rate specified at reference number 1(a) in the Second Schedule were increased to two shillings,

(b) the rate specified at reference number 1(b) in the Second Schedule were increased to three shillings and sixpence,

(c) the rate specified at reference number 1(c) (i) in the Second Schedule were increased to one shilling, and

(d) the rate specified at reference number 1(c) (ii) in the Second Schedule were increased to one shilling and ninepence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes increased maximum tonnage rates which may be charged by Galway Harbour Commissioners.
