AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (HORSE-FLESH) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1958.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (4) of section 2 of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Horse-flesh) (Commencement) Order, 1958.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The 27th day of March, 1958, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), in so far as it applies or relates to horse-flesh and the offals of horses, shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order applies the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 , to horse-flesh and the Offals of horses.
