AGRICULTURAL SEEDS (RESTRICTION ON CLEANING OF GRASS SEEDS) ORDER, 1956.

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of Section 6 of the Agricultural Seeds Act, 1936 (No. 14 of 1936), hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Seeds (Restriction on Cleaning of Grass Seeds) Order, 1956.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1956.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Section 6 of the Agricultural Seeds Act, 1936 (No. 14 of 1936), shall apply to the following agricultural seeds, namely, grass seeds of all kinds.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to prohibit the cleaning of grass seed for commercial purposes otherwise than under and in accordance with a licence granted by the Minister for Agriculture under the Agricultural Seeds Act, 1936 .
