WATERFORD BOARD OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE (HEALTH FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1954.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 45 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953), and, as respects the application of the provisions of section 103 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947), with the consent of the Minister for Local Government, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Waterford Board of Public Assistance (Health Functions) Order, 1954.

2. In this Order, " the Board " means the Board of Public Assistance for the Waterford Public Assistance District.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of August, 1954.

4. The Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Waterford and the Council of the County of Waterford are hereby authorised to act jointly in the performance of their function under the provisions of the Health Act, 1953 , mentioned in the First Schedule to this Order and such joint action shall be carried out by the Board.

5. For the purpose of their performance of functions by the Board under the provisions of the Health Act, 1953 , mentioned in the First Schedule to this Order, the enactments mentioned in the Second Schedule to this Order shall apply in relation to the Board and, in such application, any reference therein to a health authority shall be construed as a reference to the Board.
