CONSULAR CONVENTIONS ACT, 1954 (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) ORDER, 1954.

WHEREAS a Consular Convention between Ireland and the United States of America, signed in Dublin on the 1st day of May, 1950, and modified by a Protocol supplementary thereto signed in Dublin on the 3rd day of March, 1952, deals with the matters for which provision is made by the Consular Conventions Act, 1954 (No. 10 of 1954) :

AND WHEREAS the Government are satisfied that, in the United States of America, powers, privileges and immunities similar to those conferred by the provisions of sections 3 to 11 of the Act are conceded in respect of the State :

NOW, the Government, in exercise of the power conferred upon them by subsection (2) of section 2 of the Consular Conventions Act, 1954 , hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Consular Conventions Act, 1954 (United States of America) Order, 1954.

2. The provisions of sections 3 to 11 of the Consular Conventions Act, 1954 , are hereby applied in respect of the United States of America.
