RIVER SHANNON NAVIGATION (MAXIMUM CHARGES) ORDER, 1953.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in the exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 99 of the Transport Act, 1944 (No. 21 of 1944), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the River Shannon Navigation (Maximum Charges) Order, 1953.

2. On and after the 25th day of May, 1953 the maximum charges which the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland shall be entitled to charge in respect of the River Shannon Navigation shall be the charges set out in Part III of the Tenth Schedule to the Transport Act, 1944 , and applicable to the Navigation increased, except as regards the exceptional charges therein mentioned, by fifty per cent.
