ROAD TRANSPORT ACT, 1933 (PART II) REGULATIONS, 1952.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Road Transport Act, 1933 (No. 8 of 1933), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby make the following regulations :—

1. These regulations may be cited as the Road Transport Act, 1933 (Part II) Regulations, 1952.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these regulations.

3. Where, in the case of a vehicle constructed and designed for the carriage of passengers, the affixing of a vehicle plate in pursuance of Article 10 of the Road Transport Act, 1933 (Part II) Regulations Order, 1933 (S.R. & O., No. 120 of 1933), would be likely to cause damage to the vehicle, the vehicle plate may be affixed in such other position and manner, either inside or outside the vehicle, as may be approved by the Chief Superintendent of the Garda Síochána by whom the vehicle plate is issued.
