STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1947. No. 412.

BUTTON-MAKING JOINT LABOUR COMMITTEE (AMENDMENT) ESTABLISHMENT ORDER, 1947.

WHEREAS the Button-Making Trade Board (hereinafter called " the Board ") was established by Regulations dated the 14th day of January, 1936, made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce ( S. R. & O. No. 658 of 1935 ) for the trade specified in the Trade Boards (Button-Making) Order, 1919 (S. R. & O. No. 1801 of 1919) as set out in the Schedule to the said Regulations :

AND WHEREAS the Board was a Trade Board which existed immediately before the commencement of the Industrial Relations Act, 1946 (hereinafter called " the Act ") and by virtue of section 53 of the Act is deemed to be a Joint Labour Committee established under Part IV of the Act by an establishment order and operating in relation to the workers and employers in relation to whom it operated immediately before such commencement :

AND WHEREAS application has been made to the Labour Court (hereinafter called " the Court ") in accordance with section 40 of the act for an order varying the specification of the trade for which the Board was established and in which the workers and employers in relation to whom the Button-Making Joint Labour Committee operates are engaged :

AND WHEREAS the requirements of section 40 of the act have been complied with in respect of such application :

AND WHEREAS the Court held an inquiry into the application on the 18th November, 1947 :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Court, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 40 of the act, hereby orders as follows :—

1. The Trade Boards (Button-Making) Order, 1919 (S. R. & O. No. 1801 of 1919) and the Button-Making Trade Regulations ( S. R. & O. No. 658 of 1935 ) are hereby amended by the insertion of the words " moulding and injection moulding " between the words " drilling " and " fancying " in the Schedules to the said Orders.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 8th day of December, 1947.

3. This Order may be cited as the Button-Making Joint Labour Committee (Amendment) Establishment Order, 1947.
