STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1947. No. 41.

MINISTER FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TRANSFER OF FUNCTIONS UNDER SUB-SECTION (3) OF SECTION 16 OF THE BARROW DRAINAGE ACT, 1927) ORDER, 1947.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (1) of section 6 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Minister for Local Government (Transfer of Functions under subsection (3) of section 16 of the Barrow Drainage Act, 1927 ) Order, 1947.

2. In this Order, the expression " The Act " means the Barrow Drainage Act, 1927 (No. 26 of 1927).

3. The function vested in the Minister for Finance by subsection (3) of section 16 of the act, is hereby transferred to the Minister for Local Government to the intent that it shall be performed only by the Minister for Local Government.

4. The reference in subsection (3) of section 16 of the act to the Minister for Finance shall be construed as a reference to the Minister for Local Government.
