STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1946. No. 309.

TURF DEVELOPMENT ACT, 1946 (SECTION 31) REGULATIONS, 1946.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the joint operation of sections 4 and 31 of the Turf Development Act, 1946 (No. 10 of 1946), hereby make the following regulations :—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Turf Development Act, 1946 (Section 31) Regulations, 1946.

2. In these Regulations—

the expression " the Act " means the Turf Development Act, 1946 (No. 10 of 1946) ;

the expression " the Board " means Bord na Móna ;

the expression " the required maps, plans and books of reference " means, as respects any land, the maps, plans and books of reference in relation to that land required by section 31 of the Act to be deposited by the Board.

3. For the purposes of subsections (4) and (5) of section 31 of the Act, the following provisions shall have effect in relation to any land (being land proposed to be acquired by the Board) forming part of the townland or townlands mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule hereto at any reference number—

(a) the required maps, plans and books of reference shall, in addition to being deposited at the head offices of the Board in the City of Dublin, be deposited at the Gárda Síochána station mentioned in column (3) of the said Schedule at the said reference number,

(b) the required maps, plans and books of reference shall remain so deposited at the said Head Office and the said Gárda Síochána station for a period of two months,

(c) the Board shall, in addition to giving public notice of such deposit by advertisement published twice in each of two or more daily newspapers circulating in the City of Dublin, give public notice of such deposit by advertisement published twice in each of the newspapers mentioned in column (4) of the said Schedule at the said reference number.
