STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1946. No. 137.

DUBLIN CARRIAGE ACT, 1853, ADAPTATION ORDER, 1946.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 12 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922) (as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution), and section 5 of the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin Carriage Act, 1853, Adaptation Order, 1946.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Section 48 and section 50 of the Dublin Carriage Act, 1853, shall have effect as if, for the references therein to the Recorder of the City of Dublin, there were substituted references to the judge or (if more than one) the senior of the judges of the Circuit Court for the time being assigned to the Dublin Circuit.
