AGHOWLE NATIONAL MONUMENT ORDER, 1944.

THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND.

THE NATIONAL MONUMENTS ACT. 1930.

WHEREAS WE—THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND—are Owners of the National Monument known as the Ruins of the Church of Aghowle situate in the Burial Ground at Aghowle in the Townland of Aghowle Lower Parish of Aghowle Barony of Shillelagh and County of Wicklow which said Monument is shown on the map hereunto annexed and which said National Monument is an ecclesiastical building AND WHEREAS WE as such Owners think it necessary to prohibit the burial of remains of deceased persons within the said National Monument or within such distance of same as is hereinafter specified NOW THEREFORE WE THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND—acting in pursuance and by virtue of the powers vested in US for that purpose by Section 17 of the National Monuments Act, 1930 , and of all other powers enabling us DO HEREBY ORDER that from and after the date hereof no remains of deceased persons shall be interred within the said National Monument or within a distance of four feet of the west wall, five feet of the north and south walls or the site of the last named wall or within two and one half feet of the east wall of the said National Monument as indicated by the letters " A. " " B." " C." and " D " on the said map.

This Order may be cited as The Aghowle National Monument Order. 1944.
