LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1941 (DATE OF COMMENCEMENT) No. 3 ORDER, 1942.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

Whereas by section 3 of the Local Government Act, 1941 (in this order referred to as " the Act "), it is enacted that the Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed therefor by order or orders of the Minister either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision, and that different days may be so fixed for different purposes and different provisions of the Act :

Now, therefore, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers so conferred on him hereby orders as follows, that is to say :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1941 (Date of Commencement) No. 3 Order, 1942.

2. The Act shall, in so far as it has not already been brought into operation, come into operation on the twenty-sixth day of August, 1942.
