WIRELESS (RECEIVING LICENCES) (AMENDMENT) (No. 1) REGULATIONS, 1940.

I, PATRICK LITTLE, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 6 of the Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1926 (No. 45 of 1926) and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, and with the consent of the Minister for Finance testified by his signature hereto, do hereby by this Order make the following Regulations, that is to say :—

1. —(1) This order and the Regulations hereby made may be cited as the Wireless (Receiving Licences) (Amendment) (No. 1) Regulations, 1940.

(2) This Order and the Regulations hereby made shall come into operation on the first day of June, 1940.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. Paragraph (1) of Regulation 6 of the Wireless (Receiving Licences) Regulations, 1937 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 261 of 1937), is hereby amended by the deletion of the words "ten shillings," and the substitution therefor of the words "twelve shillings and sixpence."
