GALWAY PRISON CLOSING ORDER, 1939.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933) that the Minister for Justice may by Order direct that any particular prison shall be closed as on and from a specified date :

NOW, the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Galway Prison Closing Order, 1939.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The Prison at Galway in the County of Galway shall be closed as on and from the 1st day of May, 1939.
