PIGS AND BACON (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1939.


AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE PIGS AND BACON ACTS, 1935 AND 1937, BY PROVIDING (AMONGST OTHER MATTERS) FOR THE DISSOLUTION OF THE BACON MARKETING BOARD AND THE PIGS MARKETING BOARD AND THE TRANSFER OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE SAID BOARDS TO A BODY CORPORATE, TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT OF LEVIES BY BACON PRODUCERS ON PIGS AND CARCASES OF PIGS, TO VALIDATE THE DEDUCTION BY, AND COLLECTION FROM, BACON PRODUCERS OF CERTAIN MONEYS, AND TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED WITH THE MATTERS AFORESAID.
