DRUMACOO CHURCH NATIONAL MONUMENT (PROHIBITION OF BURIALS) ORDER, 1937.

THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND. THE NATIONAL MONUMENTS ACT, 1930 .

WHEREAS WE—THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND—are the duly appointed Guardians of the National Monument known as Drumacoo otherwise Newtown Church in the Barony of Dunkellin and County of Galway as shown on the attached map which is an Ecclesiastical Building and which is hereinafter referred to as the National Monument.

AND WHEREAS WE as such Guardians think it necessary to prohibit the burial (save as is hereinafter mentioned) of the remains of deceased persons within the National Monument or within such distance thereof as is hereinafter specified.

NOW THEREFORE WE—THE COMMISSIONERS OF PUBLIC WORKS IN IRELAND—acting in pursuance and by virtue of the Powers vested in US for that purpose by section 17 of the National Monuments Act, 1930 , and of all other powers enabling Us do hereby ORDER as follows: —from and after the date hereof no Remains of deceased persons shall be interred inside the walls of the National Monument or within a space of eight feet in width outside the walls of the National Monument as indicated by the letters " A ", " B ", " C ", " D ", " E " and " F " on the said map saving and excepting where the existing mausoleum of the St. George family abuts.

THIS ORDER may be cited as The Drumacoo Church National Monument (Prohibition of Burials) Order, 1937.
