Electoral (Registration Appeals) Act, 1932

Registration appeals in Dublin and university constituencies.

2.—(1) In the county borough of Dublin, and in a university constituency, and in the county of Dublin the appeal under section 16 of the Principal Act from the registration officer shall be to the Judge of the Circuit Court exercising the jurisdiction of that Court in the registration area of such registration officer, and the said section (so far as it is not repealed by this Act or any previous Act) shall apply to such appeals subject to the modifications that references to the County Court, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal respectively shall be construed and have effect as references to the Circuit Court, the Chief Justice of Saorstát Eireann, and the Supreme Court respectively.

(2) The said section 16 , in its application to the registration of local government electors pursuant to the Local Government Electors Registration Act, 1924 (No. 7 of 1924), shall have effect subject to the provisions of this Act.

(3) For the purposes of the said section 16 as applied by this section, the registration area of a university constituency shall be deemed to be situate in the City of Dublin.
