STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1931. No. 3.

STREET TRADING (WEXFORD URBAN DISTRICT)REGULATIONS, 1930.

WHEREAS the Wexford Urban District Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) by resolution passed after due notice, have adopted the Street Trading Act, 1926 (No. 15 of 1926) (hereinafter referred to as the Act) ;

AND WHEREAS the Act now applies to the Wexford Urban District ;

AND WHEREAS by Section 13 of the Act it is enacted that the Minister for Justice may by order make regulations for certain purposes therein specified :

NOW I, James Fitzgerald-Kenney, Minister for Justice, by virture of the powers conferred upon me by Section 13 of the Act, and of each and every power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :—

1. Every person desiring to obtain a street traders certificate shall fill and complete a form of application therefor, which shall be in form I in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable. Such form, when completed, shall be given to the Chief Superintendent of the Gárda Síochána for the Division of Wexford. Where the applicant is over sixteen years of age, a fee of 5/- must be given to the Chief Superintendent at the time of making the application. In the event of the application being refused, the fee so paid by the applicant shall be returned to him.

2. A street trader's certificate shall be in Form II in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable. In the event of the holder of a street traders certificate changing his address after the issue of such certificate to him, and while such certificate remains in force, he shall notify such change of address to the Chief Superintendent.

3. The tray, bag, basket or other like receptacle in which the holder of a street trader's certificate may carry goods of any description shall not exceed eighteen inches in width by twenty-four inches in length.

4. A street trader's stall licence shall be in Form III in the Schedule hereto or in such modification thereof as may be suitable.

5. Stall trading in the following goods, namely :—Drapery, cloth, woollen goods, linen goods, saddlery, ready-made clothing, boots and shoes, stationery, India rubber goods, haberdashery,soaps and medicines, jewellery, watches and clocks, toilet requisites, perfumery, china, glassware, earthenware, enamelware, cutlery and edged tools, cycle accessories, linoleum, carpets, rugs and wallpaper, is prohibited in the following streets :—Abbey Street, Allen Street, Anne Street, Back Lane (off Faythe), Back Street, Barrack Street, Batt Street, Bride Street, Castlehill Street, Carrigeen Street, Charlotte Street, Church Lane, Clifford Street, Common Quay Street, Commercial Quay, Corn Market, Crescent Quay, Cullimore's Lane, Custom House Quay, Distillery Road, Duncannon Road, Duke Street, Emmet Place, The Faythe, The Folly, Furlong's Lane, Francis Street, Fisher's Row, George Street Lower, George Street Upper, Gibson Street, Green Street, Grogan's Road, Harpur's' Lane, Henrietta Street, High Street, Hill Street, John's Gate Street, John Street, Keyser's Lane, King Street Lower, King Street Upper, Lambert Place, Main Street North, Main Street South, Mary's Lane, Maudlintown, Michael Street, Mary Street, Menapia Avenue, Monck Street, Oyster Lane, Old Pound, Paradise Row, Parnell Street, Paul Quay, Patrick Square, Monument Place, New Ross Road, Ram Street, Redmond Road, Rowe Street Lower, Rowe Street Upper, Road from Wygram Place to Summerhill, School Street, Sinnott's Lane, Stonebridge Lane, Slaughterhouse Lane, Selskar Street, Slaney Street, Spawell Road, Still Lane, Slegg's Lane, St. Ibar's Terrace, St. John's Avenue, St. John's Road, Summerhill Road, Talbot Street, Thomas Street, Trinity Street, Temperance Row, Trimmer's Lane East, Trimmer's Lane West, Waterloo Road, William Street, Wygram Place, Wellington Place, Well Lane, West Gate, Bull Ring, O'Connell Avenue.

6. The registers of street traders certificates and stall traders licences to be kept by the Chief Superintendent and Council shall be in Forms IV and V respectively in the Schedule hereto.

7. These Regulations may be cited as " The Street Trading (Wexford Urban District) Regulations, 1930."

(4) This certificate is not transferable.
