AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION BY DELETING THE PROVISIONS NOW CONTAINED THEREIN AS TO THE FORMATION OF A PANEL FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF SEANAD EIREANN AND BY PROVIDING IN LIEU THEREOF THAT THE FORMATION OF SUCH PANEL SHALL BE REGULATED BY LAW. [25th October, 1928.]

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—

Panel for Seanad elections.
|
1.—The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion of Article 33 thereof and the insertion therein in lieu of the said Article so deleted of the following Article, that is to say:—
|

“33. Before each election of members of Seanad Eireann a panel of candidates for such election shall be formed in such manner in all respects as shall be prescribed by law.”

Short title.
|
2.—This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 9) Act, 1928.
