ORDER OF EXECUTIVE COUNCIL. 1924. No. 9.

THE COURTS OF JUSTICE ACT, 1924 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 3) ORDER, 1924.

The following Order, viz.:—The Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 3) Order, 1924, No. 9 of 1924, has been made by the Executive Council.

THE COURTS OF JUSTICE ACT, 1924 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 3) ORDER, 1924.

No. 9 of 1924.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 2 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924) that that Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed therefor by any Order or Orders of the Executive Council, and that different days may be fixed for the commencement of the Act for different purposes.

AND WHEREAS by the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1924 (No. 6 of 1924) the 11th day of June, 1924, was duly fixed and appointed as the day on which the said Act should come into operation in Dublin City and County for the purpose of Part II of the said Act and the purpose of Part IV of the said Act so far as that Part relates to the Circuit Court.

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act should come into operation for the purposes of Part II of the said Act and of Part IV of the said Act so far as that Part relates to the Circuit Court on the 6th day of August, 1924, wherever the said Act is not already in force for those purposes by virtue of the said Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1924.

NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the power in that behalf conferred on them by the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924) and of every and any other power them in that behalf enabling do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 3) Order, 1924 No. 9 of 1924.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923) applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 6th day of August, 1924, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924) shall come into operation for the following purposes wherever the said Act is not already in force for those purposes by virtue of the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1924, that is to say:—

(a) the purpose of Part II of the Act, and

(b) the purpose of Part IV of the Act so far as that Part relates to the Circuit Court.
