Expenses of burial boards.

234. The expenses incurred by the rural sanitary authority of any district as the burial board of such district in the execution of Part III. of this Act shall be charged on and paid out of the poor rates of the union, . . . and all moneys borrowed by the burial board of such district before or after the passing of this Act, and any interest thereon shall be secured upon the rates aforesaid; and the expenses incurred by the urban sanitary authority of any urban sanitary district as a burial board in the execution of Part III. of this Act, or in paying any money borrowed by the burial board of such district before or after the passing of this Act, and any interest thereon shall be charged upon and paid out of a separate rate to be levied for such purpose within such district; and such urban sanitary authority shall have all such powers for making and levying such rate respectively, and all provisions shall be applicable in respect thereof, as in the case of any borough rate or improvement rate authorised to be made by such urban sanitary authority under the provisions of the respective Acts of Parliament under which such urban sanitary authority are constituted; [1 Provided always, that such rates may be levied wholly or partly in the parishes within such district for which any new burial ground has been provided under the Burial Grounds Acts or may be provided under this Act, if the Local Government Board has by any order in that behalf so directed or shall so direct.]
