I, JAMES BROWNE, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks (Amendment) Act 2025 (No. 20 of 2025), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks (Amendment) Act 2025 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2026. | ||
2. The 27th day of May 2026 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks (Amendment) Act 2025 (No. 20 of 2025) shall come into operation: | ||
(a) section 5, in so far as it is not already in operation; | ||
(b) section 7; | ||
(c) section 14, in so far as it is not already in operation; | ||
(d) section 15; | ||
(e) section 18; | ||
(f) section 21; | ||
(g) section 30. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) | ||
In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage by section 1 (2) of the Remediation of Dwellings Damaged by the Use of Defective Concrete Blocks (Amendment) Act 2025 (No. 20 of 2025), this Order appoints 27th May 2026 as the day on which the following sections shall come into operation, sections 5 in so far as it is not already in operation, 7, 14 in so far as it is not already in operation, 15, 18, 21 and 30. |
