I, JENNIFER CARROLL MACNEILL, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 36 (6) of the Nursing Homes Support Schemes Act 2009 (No. 15 of 2009), having consulted with the Revenue Commissioners and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations: | ||
Citation and commencement | ||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Nursing Homes Support Scheme (Collection and Recovery of Repayable Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations 2026. | ||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 5th day of September 2026. | ||
Interpretation | ||
2. In these Regulations “Principal Regulations” means the Nursing Homes Support Scheme (Collection and Recovery of Repayable Amounts) Regulations 2009. | ||
Amendment of Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations | ||
3. The Principal Regulations are amended in Regulation 3, paragraph (1) by the substitution of “a period of 18 month” for “a period 12 months”. | ||

These Regulations amend the Nursing Homes Support Scheme (Collection and Recovery of Repayable Amounts) Regulations 2009. The purpose of these Regulations is to extend the period from the date of the relevant event or deferred relevant event in which a relevant accountable person is required to pay the repayable amount to the Revenue Commissioners under the Nursing Homes Support Schemes Act 2009 . | ||
These Regulations may be cited as Nursing Homes Support Scheme (Collection and Recovery of Repayable Amounts) Regulations 2009 to 2026. |
