International Protection Act 2026

Amendment of Immigration Act 2003 | ||

302. Section 8 of the Immigration Act 2003 is amended— | ||
(a) in subsection (1)— | ||
(i) by the substitution of “ section 42 (9) of the International Protection Act 2015 (in this section referred to as ‘Act of 2015’) and section 191 (9) of the International Protection Act 2026 (in this section referred to as ‘Act of 2026’)” for “ section 11 (4) of the Refugee Act 1996 (‘the Act of 1996’)”, and | ||
(ii) by the substitution of “within the meaning of the Act of 2015 and the Act of 2026” for “within the meaning of the Act of 1996”, | ||
and | ||
(b) in subsection (2), by the substitution of “the Act of 2015 and the Act of 2026” for “the Act of 1996”. |
