S.I. No. 121/2024 - Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 29th March, 2024.

I, STEPHEN DONNELLY, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (3) of the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (No. 35 of 2023), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024.

2. In this Order, “Act of 2023” means the Public Health (Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products) Act 2023 (No. 35 of 2023).

3. The 29th day of March 2024 is appointed as the day on which section 33 of the Act of 2023 shall come into operation.

4. The 23rd day of September 2024 is appointed as the day on which sections 29, 30 and 31 of the Act of 2023 shall come into operation.
