S.I. No. 57/2024 - Credit Union (Amendment) Act 2023 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2024

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, MICHAEL MCGRATH, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Credit Union (Amendment) Act 2023 (No. 34 of 2023), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Credit Union (Amendment) Act 2023 Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2024.

2. The 22nd day of February 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Credit Union (Amendment) Act 2023 (No. 34 of 2023) shall come into operation:

(a) section 2;

(b) paragraph (b) of section 3;

(c) paragraph (b) of section 4;

(d) paragraphs (b), (c) and (d) of section 7;

(e) section 8;

(f) paragraphs (c), (d), (e), (h), (i) and (j) of section 9;

(g) section 10;

(h) section 11;

(i) section 12;

(j) section 13;

(k) section 23;

(l) section 48;

(m) section 49;

(n) section 50;

(o) paragraph (a) of section 52;

3. The 8th day of April 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Credit Union (Amendment) Act 2023 shall come into operation:

(b) paragraph (c) of section 4 insofar as it relates to the amendment of section 6 of the Principal Act by the insertion of subsections (10) and (11);

(c) paragraph (k) of section 9;

(d) section 14;

(e) section 15;

(f) section 16;

(h) paragraph (c) of section 18;

(i) section 19;

(j) section 20;

(k) section 21;

(l) section 22;
