Chapter 8 Special inquiries relating to administration, operation, practice or procedure of An Garda Síochána or conduct of members of garda personnel | ||

81. (1) In this Chapter— | ||
“appointed person” has the meaning assigned to it by section 82 (1)(b); | ||
“final report” has the meaning assigned to it by section 82 (1)(c); | ||
“inquiry” means an inquiry ordered by the Minister under section 82 (1); | ||
“interim report” has the meaning assigned to it by section 88 (1); | ||
“legal costs” means fees, disbursements, charges and expenses included in a bill of costs in respect of a practising barrister or practising solicitor, or both (within the meaning of the Legal Services Regulation Act 2015 ); | ||
“replacement appointed person” has the meaning assigned to it by section 89 (1). | ||
(2) Where an order under section 89 (1) is made, a reference in this Chapter to an appointed person shall be construed as including a reference to a replacement appointed person. |
