I, MICHAEL MCGRATH, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Directive 2011/61/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 20111 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Alternative Investment Fund Managers) (Amendment) Regulations 2023. | ||
2. Paragraph (7A) of Regulation 22 of the European Union (Alternative Investment Fund Managers) Regulations 2013 ( S.I. No. 257 of 2013 ) is revoked. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.) | ||
The purpose of these Regulations is to revoke paragraph (7A) of Regulation 22 of the European Union (Alternative Investment Fund Managers) Regulations 2013 ( S.I. No. 257 of 2013 ) to ensure the AIFM Regulations are in alignment with EU requirements. | ||
These Regulations may be cited as the European Union (Alternative Investment Fund Managers) (Amendment) Regulations 2023. | ||
