S.I. No. 539/2023 - Sex Offenders (Amendment) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2023

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 14th November, 2023.

I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Sex Offenders (Amendment) Act 2023 (No. 9 of 2023), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Sex Offenders (Amendment) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2023.

2. The 13th day of November 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Sex Offenders (Amendment) Act 2023 (No. 9 of 2023) shall come into operation:

(a) sections 1 to 13;

(b) section 14(c);

(c) sections 17 to 23;

(d) sections 26 to 29;

(e) section 30 (other than subsection (2)).
