S.I. No. 531/2023 - Regulation Of Lobbying And Oireachtas (Allowances To Members) (Amendment) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2023

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 10th November, 2023.

I, PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 25 (2) of the Regulation of Lobbying and Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Act 2023 (No. 15 of 2023) and the Standards in Public Office (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2023 ( S.I. No. 367 of 2023 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Regulation of Lobbying and Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2023.

2. The 1st day of January 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Regulation of Lobbying and Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Act 2023 (No. 15 of 2023) shall come into operation:

(a) sections 1 to 8;

(b) sections 11 and 12;

(c) sections 19 to 23;

(d) section 25.

3. The 1st day of June 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Regulation of Lobbying and Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Act 2023 shall come into operation:

(a) sections 9 and 10;

(b) sections 13 to 18.
