S.I. No. 392/2023 - Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2023

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 4th August, 2023.

I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 (No. 16 of 2023), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2023.

2. The 31^st day of July 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Road Traffic and Roads Act 2023 (No. 16 of 2023) shall come into operation:

(a) section 3;

(b) the following provisions of section 5:

(i) subparagraph (iii) of paragraph (a);

(ii) paragraphs (b), (d), (e), (g), (i), (k);

(iii) paragraph (l), except insofar as it relates to –

(I) paragraph (d) of subsection (1), and

(II) subsections (7) to (10),

of section 56A;

(iii) paragraphs (m) and (n);

(iv) paragraph (o), except insofar as it relates to –

(I) paragraph (f) of subsection (2), and

(II) paragraph (c) of subsection (9),

of section 78A;

(v) paragraphs (p) and (q);

(c) paragraph (b) of section 11;

(d) section 12;

(e) paragraphs (a), (b), (f), (h), (j), (q) and (r) of section 13;

(f) paragraph (a) section 14;

(g) section 44;

(h) sections 48 to 56;

(i) sections 58 and 59.
