S.I. No. 58/2023 - Tailte Éireann Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2023


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 21st February, 2023.

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Tailte Éireann Act 2022 (No. 50 of 2022), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Tailte Éireann Act 2022 (Commencement) Order 2023.

2. In this Order, “Act of 2022” means the Tailte Éireann Act 2022 (No. 50 of 2022).

3. The 20th day of February 2023 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Act of 2022 shall come into operation:

(a) Part 1 (other than section 5);

(b) section 6.

4. The 1st day of March 2023 is appointed as the day on which the Act, other than -

(a) section 5 and Schedule 2 insofar as they relate to the repeal of -

(i) section 69 of the Valuation Act 2001 (No. 13 of 2001),

(ii) sections 8 and 29 of the Ordnance Survey Act 2001 (No. 43 of 2001), and

(iii) section 21 of the Registry of Deeds and Title Act 2006 (No. 12 of 2006)

(b) section 25,

(c) section 35(6),

(d) section 38(2), and

(e) section 39,

insofar as it is not already in operation, shall come into operation.

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage by section 1(2) of the Tailte Éireann Act 2022 (No. 50 of 2022), this Order appoints the days on which certain provisions of the Act come into operation.
